☀️Imagine waking up in the wilderness with a couple friends, grabbing a cup of coffee & a snack, wearing all necessary layers, snapping your life jacket closed and going for a solo glide on a wild lake to see the sun rise…
📱your cellphone is in a protected case only here for capturing some of the memories.
☀️Imagine continuing your trip with your friends, sharing deep conversations, mild hikes, delicious meals and good laughs…
📱your is cellphone in your pocket without ring tone nor connection to the outside world.. you catch yourself grabbing it to check for messages.. the detox has started.
☀️Imagine driving further & seeing deep canyons, beautiful waterfalls, teal mountain lakes, maybe a ranch & horses with a mountain backdrop…
📱your cellphone at this point has been on silent mode for 4 days and you’ve started fully relaxing, the true benefit of being:
☀️Imagine booking - me your guide for - a multi-day trekking adventure wanting it all like on SM: the wilderness experience, the gorgeous sceneries, the connection with like-minded people, the well deserved meals.. the sweat even!
📱your cellphone completely turned off for 5 days but for the times you absolutely must take a picture to have as memory.
☀️📱Some outdoor companies declared January 24 to be a reset day for less screen time and more human connections. Another said early March.
☀️I’m absolutely ALL IN about this movement as screens of all sorts are eating up our time & human connections but know this: my actions to unplug & disconnect happen all year round not just one day.
📵Example: the first thing you’ll be asked when coming on any of my trips is to turn your cellphone on silent mode or totally off 📴 Strict? Yep! Sorry? Nope! I like to focus on the moment & real connections, with nature & people.
Note that my pictures were taken during summer and fall and do not reflect current conditions.
