Goodbye Riga!
Such a lovely visit to this incredible town. We had an amazing food tasting tour, which also included a taste of the famous or should I say infamous Riga Black balsam. This fortified drink made up of over 24 herbs is kick ass stuff and guaranteed to put to death any tummy ache you might have. Kind of like that cough mixture they talk about in Canada where it taste horrible but it works.. This reminded me of that. We also had a wonderful tasting at the food market of various traditional Latvian recipes. A very satisfying day and thank goodness we had to walk back to the ship.
