We are thick into graduation season and my youngest just completed his graduation festivities this past month. I’ve been sitting with a mix of pride, nostalgia and reflection as we step into a new chapter ahead.

I look back to the days of sleepless nights through infancy and toddlerhood. Then the freedom that comes when they start kindergarten and all day school. It’s not a cliche when they say “the days are long but the years are short”.

And with each milestone, we reminisce and think how fast time has passed and now here we are. How quickly life changes.

Graduation is a reminder that a chapter may end, but some of the best adventures are still ahead. And having gone through this twice now, I’m here to tell you that the journey goes faster than you think.

So take the trip. Make the memories. Say yes to the adventure.

The next chapter starts now. Where will we head to next?

This is really cool….and a huge honour…..I’m so grateful and surprised by this.

Supporting wish kids and their families has been a privilege, and I’m grateful to be part of a community that believes in hope, joy, and meaningful connection. I have always believed deeply in creating moments that matter, moments that remain core joyful memories, especially in childhoods. In our crazy busy lives, it’s the little things can make all the difference in creating a small or big moment of joy.

My heart is full. For the families I get to support, and for the chance to help bring joy and hope where it’s needed most.

Congrats to all the volunteers recognized for their extraordinary contributions!

OMG, tonight was so much fun! 💃🏻 Getting to check out the Brilliant Lady from Virgin Voyages as she makes her debut launch from L.A. was absolutely epic! The ship is beautiful. She’s bold, stylish and full of cheekiness and surprises! It’s exactly what you’d expect from Virgin Voyages!

The rooms are stunning. Elevated and modern, sleek and stylish for very comfortable accommodations onboard. The food - next level! There are no buffets and no dining halls - just elevated dining experiences with top notch cuisines. We chose to dine at Gunbae, the Korean BBQ restaurant onboard it was amazing! The food, the drinking games and the social atmosphere make it perfect for a fun dining and social experience!

And then we have their signature Scarlet Night! A fun deck party full of energy, dancing, music and entertainment that rivals any party on land. And did I mention it’s an adult-only cruise line?? While I love my kids and all, and I love booking family vacations for people…..there is a different kind of vacation when no kids are around, and adults can have fun without worrying about their kids. Dare I say it’s kinda “Brilliant?”

The Brilliant Lady is one of four Virgin Voyages ships and she sails the Pacific West coast and Alaska from LA, to complement their other ships that sail through the Caribbean and the Mediterranean as well.

This teaser of the ship reinforces to me that I am long overdue for another cruise vacation! And I think my next cruise will just have to be with Virgin. Anyone else care to join me? (Or at least want to book their own vacation to experience the Virgin difference?) ❤️

[Pretending this is me….]

I’ve been diving into the Virgin Voyages Seacademy this week as I get caught up on my training and I’m already impressed. ♥️ Their approach to adult-only cruising, elevated dining options, and playful luxury is unlike anything else at sea. First, there are no buffets and no dining halls, just incredible restaurants included from over 20+ different eateries. Entertainment is bold, immersive, and a little cheeky (in the best way)!. 😉

And….their West Coast itineraries are going to be a game-changer for travellers who want something fresh.
And the timing couldn’t be better… something “Brilliant” is coming.

I’m heading to California tomorrow for the exclusive launch of Virgin Voyages’ newest ship, Brilliant Lady. 💃🏻🚢

I’ll be getting a first look at the ship before she begins sailing West Coast itineraries, and I can’t wait to bring back insights, photos, and all the details for anyone dreaming of a California-to-Mexico escape, and to experience just a touch of what sailing with Virgin Voyages just might be like!

Stay tuned for more details but first, we will be making a quick pitstop somewhere just as magical and exciting! Can you guess where that might be? 😍

This past week, I attended a destination training event and it never fails to amaze me how much love and passion there is in travel.

There’s something magical about hearing someone speak about their home country with unfiltered pride. Even after all these years in the industry, after hearing hundreds of suppliers talk about destinations, products, itineraries and travel options, it still gives me goosebumps when we see photos and videos with first hand knowledge and experience shared with so much love and passion in their voices.

Travelling to a new place is not just about checking places off a list but truly appreciating it as an outsider and allowing yourself to be mesmerized through shared experiences.

The world is such a large place and we can never know it all nor are we ever expected to. We rely on partners who are experts in their destination to help us create memorable experiences for your travels. To help you choose more off-the-beaten path places for less crowds, more authentic experiences, affordability and getting so much more for less.

If you’re dreaming about your next adventure (and let’s be honest, who isn’t??!), let’s talk about what kind of experience you want and how you can explore a destination in a meaningful way that aligns with your trip goals.

Today (March 26), we wear purple. It’s for Epilepsy Awareness. And it’s something that hits a bit closer to home now. 💜

Over the last year, I’ve learned a lot about epilepsy and it’s so much more than I thought I knew. Awareness starts with understanding and here are a few things that really opened my eyes about this life-changing chronic condition:

- 50 million people live with epilepsy globally.

- Not all seizures look the same. There are sooooo many types of epilepsy and seizures can present itself in different ways and a seizure may not “look” like a seizure until someone tells you otherwise afterwards. Epilepsy is more than what you see.

- SUDEP is a real thing. Risk of premature death is up to 3× higher than the general population and there is no explanation for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. It is a real and scary concern.

But…..

Up to 70% could live seizure‑free with proper diagnosis and treatment.

This is why Purple Day matters. 💟

Canada 🇨🇦 is the only country with Purple Day recognized by law (Purple Day Act, 2012)

The Purple Day Act gives national recognition to epilepsy awareness efforts - amplifying education, reducing stigma, and supporting the 1 in 100 Canadians living with epilepsy.

On March 26, Canadians are encouraged to wear purple to show support for people living with epilepsy and to help increase public understanding of the condition to reduce the stigma surrounding diseases of the brain.

So today, I wear purple. To show support and empathy. For each person living with epilepsy, and for every family that has felt the fear, the uncertainty and the helplessness when facing the realities of unexpected seizures and side effects and how they change the course of your daily lives.

We see you. We feel you. You are not alone.

Awareness is the first step. Compassion is the next.

Sending out a big virtual hug to those that live with epilepsy and to all the family and caregivers who have had to experience the scary effects of this life-altering condition.

We often take flying for granted and today is a stark reminder of just how easily we take the privilege of travel for granted. We board a plane, enjoy snacks and beverages, maybe watch a movie or read a book before landing at our destination without a single second thought. Sometimes, we may get a bit annoyed if our flight is delayed, when the cabin is full, or when the journey is not quite as comfortable or efficient as we had hoped.

But it is precisely the mundane motions of travel and making them seamless and uneventful are 100% due to the skill and discipline of the pilots who shoulder that responsibility quietly with precision and professionalism. They make something as extraordinary as flying a plane seem so ordinary to travellers who do not think twice about these things.

This tragedy reminds us that our community is small, and we are all feeling the loss of two pilots who were caught in the most unfortunate accident with catastrophic consequences. We honour these pilots, we hold space for their families, for their colleagues and coworkers and for everyone in the field who feels this profound loss.

And we pause, even if just for a moment, and remember them with each safe landing on our next flight that their skill, their precision and their discipline does not go unnoticed, even if we just want to get off the plane.

This tragedy is beyond sad.

After a week like this past one, some may not realize the value of having a travel agent…..until they don’t have one. Every time we think we’ve seen it all, the universe piles on another “hiccup” that affects travellers and their vacations.

Puerto Vallarta…..we have clients that were supposed to go, clients currently there, and clients who plan on going within the next month or two. But we’ve also had some cancel as they are no longer comfortable travelling to Puerto Vallarta and/or Mexico.

There is no right or wrong decision in this case. It’s your comfort level that will guide you to make the decision that fits your family best. And our role is to support you in the decision you want.

You want to go? Let’s do it!
You want to cancel? No problem, we can cancel.
You’re not sure? Take whatever time you need to make your decision.
No pressure, no problem.

But this past week reminds us again the value of having a professional help you in an uncertain time. Walking you through options, helping you get home or re-routed.

And again, another plug for the importance of travel insurance - meaning trip cancellation AND trip interruption, something that doesn’t get talked about enough. But this past week just proves to us again how imperative it is to have trip interruption coverage. It’s precisely there to help cover unexpected costs that arise affecting your travel plans should you need to return home early or stay longer beyond your original plans.

We don’t just help plan trips before they happen. We have resources, and the connections to help you during your trip as well. And as our clients know, a trusted advisor can make all the difference when the unexpected happens.

If recent events have left you second-guessing your plans, or wishing you had someone in your corner, that’s exactly what we’re here for.

Before.
During.
After.

Reach out anytime and we can help you plan with confidence.
