We’re looking for a part time skipper to join our crew! someone who is comfortable operating a variety of vessels and has experience in our local waters. This role will not only be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our guests, but will also be an ambassador of our company and the area in which we live and work. We are looking for more than just a vessel operator but a person who is passionate about what they do, showing hospitality, creating a safe environment and giving unparalleled service.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (5) years of experience operating a variety of small to mid size vessels.
• Required Certifications: Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP), Marine Emergency Duties (MED A3)/ Domestic Vessel Safety (DVS), Radio Operators Certificate - Maritime (ROC-M), Current First Aid Certificate (higher Transport Canada commercial marine certifications are advantageous).
• Class 4 drivers license an asset (this would allow for additional hours operating our complementary guest shuttle).
• Fluency in English (Reading/Writing).
• Physically capable of handling repetitive tasks, carrying heavy loads, and extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Working Conditions

• Irregular hours based on business volumes with occasional travel to for training as needed.
• On-call availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays to manage emergencies or urgent situations.
• Maritime environment, including outdoor exposure at times.
• Require physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and bending.
• Successful criminal record checks.
