Did you know that mountain goats aren’t actually true goats? 🐐

Also known as "goat-antelopes," mountain goats are more closely related to antelopes, gazelles, and cattle. They have incredible two-toed hooves with rough, textured pads that give them ultimate traction on steep, icy cliffs.

⚠️ Always give our local wildlife plenty of space to keep both you and them safe.

The Canmore Mountain Market is back for the season from now through October 1st. With over 75 amazing vendors setting up shop at Elevation Place, it's the perfect spot to grab lunch, stock up on fresh farm produce, and discover local handmade products.

Ever wonder what nature's natural wind chimes look like from below surface level? 💧🧊

Candle ice is a rare, natural phenomenon that occurs only during a brief period of time in the spring. As the weather warms, sunlight breaks the surface of our frozen lakes into thousands of vertical ice crystals. When the water moves, these shards gently chime against each other, creating a mesmerizing sound similar to wind chimes.

Have you been lucky enough to see the magic of candle ice for yourself?
