Happy Holidays everyone! As with every winter in the Canadian Rockies the ice climbing has been awesome this season and we can count on another 3 or 4 months of good conditions! I always feel lucky to live and play in ice climbers paradise!

After almost 2 months of ice climbing season it always seems funny to welcome the 1st day of winter! Even the Snowshoe Hare that lives in my yard has been white for a couple months! (Pic 4). Ice season has been a blast so far with lots of big ice routes, fun groups on courses and tons of mixed climbing too! I’m currently enjoying an awesome Ice Skills Week with a stoked crew of climbers! There are still spots left on my Jan and Feb Ice Skills Weeks if anyone is interested in kicking their skills up a few notches! Enjoy the holiday season and keep your picks in the ice!

I love this spot on Mt A2 at the Columbia Icefields! Wild views of multiple glaciers and big alpine walls! These guys certainly enjoyed it too on an ascent earlier this summer! This is a really fun peak we often climb on our 5 day Alpine Skills Courses each year.

Climbing into the clouds on Heartline with Colin was a great way to wrap up an action packed summer of rock & alpine climbing! Pics are a few rock climbing highlight from Mt Abraham, Mt Yamnuska, Ha Ling, Wasootch Tower and skills courses this summer. Thanks to everyone that joined me for trips this season and I hope to see you this winter here in ice climbers paradise!

It’s been an action packed spring full of awesome rock climbs, lots of fun courses and quite a few summits! Huge thanks to all the great people that have joined me for trips and courses so far. Onwards into summer!

It’s been an action packed month of non stop ice climbing for us here in the Canadian Rockies! Lots of fun times on our weekend courses and multipitch days! It’s starting to feel like rock climbing season on the sunny afternoons and I’m looking forward to tons of awesome summer trips!

One of the perks of my job is all the fun & interesting people I get to meet! The last few week of ice climbing courses were no exception and a big thanks to everyone who joined me and made Feb so rad! Looking forward to another awesome month on the ice!

The first few days of the Ice Skills Week have been going great and it’s an awesome crew for the course! We’ve already climbed tons of ice & mixed routes and are heading out this morning for multipitch & lead skills!

Another awesome week of ice climbing in the Canadian Rockies! Had a great crew for a weekend Ice Skills Course and then Phillipe joined me for some classic multipitch routes! We started with Professor Falls, followed it up Moonlight and a very thin Snowline, then finished with Louise Falls (all to ourselves on a Saturday!). It’s been a great season so far and there are still over 2 months of ice climbing courses and ascents to come!

Awesome end to 2022 with a trip up Whiteman Falls! Took a different line this time and found good ice but boy oh boy was it pumpy!
