The countdown is officially on! Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is set to open July 1, 2027, and Disney has given us a first look at some of the incredible accommodations coming to this brand-new resort! 🏨✨

With 967 rooms, Lakeshore Lodge will offer everything from cozy studios and spacious villas to something completely new for Disney—waterfront Lake Houses! 🌊🏡

🌌 **THE LAKE HOUSES**
One- and two-bedroom Lake Houses will sit along the shores of Bay Lake and offer a truly unique Disney stay. Think dramatic A-frame architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows, waterfront views, private porches, full kitchens, and washers & dryers.

And the theming?! Inspired by Disney’s Brother Bear, with details celebrating nature, exploration and the great outdoors. 🌲🦌✨

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear about Disney vacations?

“You have to be a HUGE Disney fan to enjoy Disney.”

And honestly… you don’t! 🙌

Disney does an amazing job creating experiences for all kinds of travelers. ❤️

🎢 Love thrill rides? There are plenty of them.
🍽️ A foodie? Disney has some seriously impressive dining.
🌴 Looking to relax? Disney cruises have beautiful spaces, pools, entertainment, and plenty of ways to slow down.
🎭 Love live entertainment? The shows and productions are a huge part of the experience.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Traveling with family? There’s something for everyone, from little kids to grandparents.
✨ Not really into characters? That’s okay too!

And sometimes, the people who tell me, “We’re not really Disney people…” end up being the ones who come home saying, “Okay… I get it now.” 😉

🌴✈️ **Booked Your All-Inclusive? Here’s What to Do BEFORE You Go!**

You’ve booked the resort… now what? 😎

Here’s my **pre-vacation checklist** to help make your all-inclusive getaway as smooth as possible:

📋 **1. Check your travel documents**
Make sure passports are valid, and double-check entry requirements for your destination. Keep copies of important documents somewhere secure.

🩺 **2. Review your travel insurance**
Don’t assume your credit card coverage is enough. Make sure you understand what your policy actually covers before you leave.

💰 **3. Check your resort's inclusions**
“All-inclusive” doesn’t always mean *everything* is included! Find out what’s covered—and what costs extra, such as spa treatments, excursions, premium dining, or certain activities.

🍽️ **4. Look into restaurant reservations**
Some resorts require reservations for à la carte restaurants, and popular dining times can fill quickly. Know the resort's reservation process before you arrive.

🚐 **5. Confirm your airport transfers**
Know how you’re getting from the airport to your resort—and back again. Keep your transfer information handy when you land.

📱 **6. Download what you need BEFORE leaving**
Resort apps, airline apps, travel documents, entertainment information, and offline maps are much easier to access when they're already on your phone.

☀️ **7. Pack for the resort—not your entire closet!**
Don't forget swimsuits, sunscreen, comfortable footwear, medications, a reusable water bottle, and anything your family can't easily replace at the destination.

👨‍👩‍👧 **8. If you're travelling with kids…**
Check out the kids' club, splash areas, activities, babysitting options, and family-friendly restaurants before you arrive. Knowing what's available can make your first day much easier!

✈️ **Family Packing Hacks That Will Make Your Next Vacation So Much Easier!** 🧳

Packing for a family vacation doesn't have to be stressful! Here are a few of my favourite time-saving hacks:

✔️ **Pack outfits, not just clothes.** Roll each day's outfit together so there's no digging through the suitcase.

✔️ **Use packing cubes.** Give each family member their own colour to keep everything organized.

✔️ **Carry-on essentials are a must.** Pack medications, swimsuits, a change of clothes, chargers, and important documents in your carry-on—just in case your checked luggage is delayed.

✔️ **Bring a few Ziplock bags.** They're perfect for wet swimsuits, snacks, sunscreen, or keeping electronics dry.

✔️ **Don't overpack!** Most resorts and hotels offer laundry services, and you probably won't wear everything you bring.

✔️ **Take photos of important documents.** Keep digital copies of your passports, travel insurance, and itinerary stored securely on your phone.

💡 **Bonus Tip:** I always recommend creating a packing checklist about a week before departure. Cross items off as you pack to avoid that last-minute "Did I forget something?" feeling.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that **everything** is included. While all-inclusive resorts offer incredible value, what you'll get can vary from one resort to another.

Here's what's **usually included**:

✅ Your accommodations
✅ Unlimited meals and snacks
✅ Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
✅ Pools and beach access
✅ Non-motorized water sports (kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling equipment)
✅ Daily entertainment and evening shows

✅ Fitness centre access

**Often NOT included:**
