This website had its beginnings as The Travel Bucket which was essentially travel articles written
primarily by the company’s founder, first as a personal travel blog but morphing over the years into informative articles for use by our travel agency clients. Now we hope to present and highlight, in addition to our own content, the blog articles, videos, reviews and radio podcasts of some of these real travel experts we represent. The Travel Bucket may have remained just that, a travel blogging website, had it not been for the casual complaint of one of our clients that he – a true expert in a popular destination – was competing against those who claimed they were experts but had no “strength to their bench”. So how was the public to know who was really an expert when anyone could call themselves such? He wished there was a place the public could go that focused only on experts. Our Travel Professionals
Expert is a word often thrown out there casually to give a certain cache when listing one’s credentials. You have probably seen someone who has listed he or she is a certified agent in (destination) or (travel supplier). But obtaining a piece of paper does not qualify you to be an expert. Years of experience, major accreditations from ASTA and CLIA, and firsthand knowledge combined with that piece of paper make a travel agent into a travel expert. Real Travel Experts is very pleased to highlight these professionals in their field of travel and pass along their hard earned knowledge to you.
