Zipline Relaunch Delayed Until 2026

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring TreeTop Flyers Zipline back to Chase this summer, from equipment upgrades, to site cleanup, early marketing and guide training.

Unfortunately, new inspection requirements and equipment delays mean we won’t be able to reopen safely before the end of summer.


Safety is our core value, and a full third-party inspection by qualified personnel and Technical Safety BC is required before we welcome guests. We’ll continue making improvements through the summer and fall, with a new target of spring 2026 for relaunch.

Regretfully we are still closed due to highway construction blocking access to the 2 main ziplines in the canyon.

After meetings with the MOT Re: the highway construction in Chase it has proven that there are several areas of closure and delay in every tour that must be crossed through.
As many as 8 crossings through a construction zone for each tour, plus several more crossings for a client just to get to our office. The main issue is that our landing area and walk way under the highway for the Bighorn line is in a construction zone that we cannot pass through. The second largest issue is that we will never know how much delay due to each crossing through the construction zones will affect a tour length and therefore scheduling/booking tours.

In short, we cannot open this year.

Treetop Flyers Zipline at Chase Canyon is for sale! This company has been one of the most rewarding projects and jobs I've ever had. The awesome guests, the screams and smiles, the chance to introduce people to the natural beauty of Chase Canyon, the friendships made; all of these things have made this journey so incredibly special. My partners and I are really excited to offer these experiences to the next owner of Treetop Flyers. We are looking for someone to take the company into the next 10 years and beyond, someone with the energy and enthusiasm to take this well established business and build on what we've created. When we closed up last fall we were all looking forward to 2020, as this year marks the 10th Anniversary for our small business, a very important milestone. While we initially delayed our opening date for this season with the hope we could begin operations in July, we have recently come to the conclusion that we will not be able to open our doors in 2020. This has been a difficult decision to make, especially as we know families and friends in the area will be looking for ways to support local businesses and experience some outdoor adventure. It is tough knowing that we will not be able to provide that outlet this year. However, we believe this is the right call based on a number of factors, the most important being the safety of our staff and guests.

While we cannot predict what the pandemic will look like a year from now, we plan to be back operating as normal in 2021. The majority of our gift vouchers do not have expiry dates, however those that are set to expire before 2021 will be extended for an additional year. If you have any questions for us or would just like to say hi, please give us a call or send us an email. While we will not be in the office this summer we will do our best to respond to all messages within 24 hours.

To all those who have supported our business through the years, we thank you. We wish everyone all the best for 2020 and are already looking forward to 2021.
