The kayak festival is back starting August 4th!!!

2023 EVENT DETAILS:
The fest was started in 2007 by Ben Earle. It's an event that helps showcase the mighty Clearwater River. Paddlers come from all over BC, Canada, and internationally to enjoy the river and the infamous after-party!
Friday August 4
-5pm Early bird registration at the Clearwater Ski Hill.
-Drinks, chilli, music and camping.
Saturday August 5
-8am- Registration (*$70* Boater Cross, Freestyle comp, camping, prizes, free lunch, free shuttle, After Party)
-Non registered paddlers (*$50* free raffle ticket, camping and access to the After Party)
-10am- Starting races
-Local Tim Horton's Coffee, tea, donuts, cookies, and muffins provided.
- Pink Mountain Imports providing demo WAKA kayaks and Badfish SUP's
- Backcountry Bowls serving bodacious breakfast and espresso drinks!
-*Adrian Kiernan Boater Cross*--Lower Canyon to "Hole in the Wall"
-*Intermediate Race*--Start at 'Hole in the Wall' Race to Goose Rock eddy river left
-*DR SUP* Advanced Race--Start at "Hole in the Wall" Race to Goose Rock eddy river left
-Free river road shuttle bus for all **Registered Festival Paddlers**
-Free Lunch offered to all **Registered Festival Paddlers** at the Kettle after all races are completed.
-Burgers and killer homestyle veggie burgers, wraps from Gateway Grill & Catering (veggie options as well), pizza from Double "R" Pizza & Subs, salads from Wells Gray, sandwiches from the Clearwater Stop, Subway platter from Subway, Stir Fry from Double Dragon and all the Dairy Queen treats you can eat!

SATURDAY NIGHT
-Live skanking music and the infamous Afterparty. 4 bands this year! Featuring Rio Earle, Phantom Orchid , Half/Asian with Amy the CODA, Soultide, and The Richard Maggs Band Richard Maggs.
-Prizes for Boatercross and SUP winners
-Raffle prize draw and Event Winner Awards: 8pm

-Given to "The Most Adventurous Paddler" who embodies the spirit of the event...(presented by Finn and Rio Earle)
-24 Busch Beers,
-1 Fat Doobie
-$100 cash,
-Custom painting done by local artist Janel Nicole
Back by popular demand Backcountry Bowls Food Truck on site Saturday night for Dinner and Sunday morning for Brekkie.
Sunday August 6
-Noon Freestyle Competition at Little Pink.
-Prizes for Freestyle Winners
-Free rafting for non-paddlers with Riverside Adventures (Talk to Mat!)
-2023 T-shirts $20
-Paddlers can enjoy all the sections of the river in beautiful Wells Gray Park. Everything from class 1-5 can be found in and around the area.
-Generous sponsorship and donations from local businesses, paddling shops, and raft companies help to make the fest a success
