🌟 Short, spare or baby back – try them all at the annual Northumberland Ribfest and Music Festival hosted by Rotary Club of Cobourg! From AUG 14-16, visit Victoria Park in Downtown Cobourg for plenty of delicious ribs, with 5 award-winning “Ribbers” bringing their own flavours and styles to the table. Admission is free so you can save your money to try them all!

TIP: Don’t forget the napkins!

There’s also free entertainment every afternoon at the bandshell, so bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for the music.

🌟 Long tables, local food, live music and a whole lot of community spirit — the Warkworth Long Lunch is back on Sunday, August 16th with thanks to the Warkworth Community Service Club!

🍽️ From 11AM to 3PM, Main Street will be filled with delicious meals from Robin's Nest Farm Market, K Okay Café & Roasters, Jeannine’s Backtalk Cafe, Sandy Flat Sugar Bush and Greenmoxie catering with prices ranging from $8-15.

🎶 Plus, while you eat you can enjoy live music from Lindsay Glover, Jonah Maclean and Tailgate Romeos.

📚 In honour of the newest production at Capitol Theatre Port Hope, “And No Birds Sang”, we’ve put together a day trip inspired by Farley Mowat, one of Canada’s most famous authors.

🏛 Pop into Port Hope Public Library to explore Farley Mowat's personal book collection, enjoy Farley's Lookout and learn more about his connection to the community.
🍽 Before the show, enjoy a pre-theatre dinner at one of the participating restaurants in the Shop, Dine & Show package. 🥏 Northumberland is a disc golf destination! Plan a summer day trip around disc golf with stops in Brighton, Cobourg and Port Hope. Keep scrolling for ideas and be sure to check for more course and layout information.

📍Stop 1: Brighton, (11 Cedar St)
Brighton has a new, free-to-play, 6-hole course at Cedar Park. Discs can be borrowed from the park, making it easy to give the sport a try or enjoy even if you left your discs at home.

While you’re in Brighton:

🌶 Stop into Saucy Dotty's Gourmet Sauce to pick up some BBQ sauce and take home a taste of Northumberland

📍Stop 2: Cobourg (650 D’Arcy St)
