Today showed why an 8-hour charter can make all the difference. The morning started slow without the usual early bites, and it took until midday for the guides to figure out the fish. Once we dialed it in, the action turned on. As we move further into August and September, these mature migration fish become more selective and feed less consistently. Success comes down to persistence—sticking it out until the window opens—and making every big bite count.

Shout out to and especially for stepping up on a weekend. Our kicker motor started giving us trouble this week. We tried everything we could to get it running right, but in the end it had to go to the shop. In the middle of the busiest time of the year, Dan came in on a Sunday evening after we wrapped up the day, set us up with a new 9.9, and took in the one that needed work. Huge appreciation. When you support local businesses, they truly support you back. Only went 1 full day with out the kicker!

We back finally after 2 forced weather days off. Not common here in Comox in the summer. Today also wasnt perfect but we made it happen and the fish were back. We also released many over 80cm!
