We're thrilled to welcome, Olivia Ball, back to the team as Season Extension Coordinator. 😄

We say back to the team because Olivia is no stranger to the Western Destination Management Organization (DMO). She brings lots of experience from her work on two of our previous season extension projects—winter and Iceberg Communities of Interest (COI).

Olivia will be supporting and promoting off-season programming, working directly with local operators and communities, and helping to amplify the region's shoulder season story. You can reach out to her directly, at [email protected].

Big things happen when we work together! Through the Atlantic Canada Agreement on Tourism (ACAT), the four Atlantic provinces and ACOA are teaming up to promote the four provinces in our region as a top travel destination in the US, UK, and Germany.

Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador (HNL) is seeking qualified individuals to join the Regional Evaluator Eligibility List for the Exceptional Experiences Program.

Today is , the second national Airport Workers Day in Canada! 🇨🇦

It's a day to recognize the people who keep Canada moving and their vital contribution to our communities and economies. As a destination located on an island, ferries and planes are essential to Western Newfoundland. And as a destination management organization (DMO), transportation is essential for show attendance, FAM tours, and to our provincial tourism industry.

A wide variety of professions keep an airport, and our national aviation system, running smoothly. Today we say thank you to Deer Lake Regional Airport and all the hard-working employees who keep travellers safe and our regional airport so welcoming. Shout out to airport workers for all that you do! 🙌
