Step back in time at the Coronach & District Museum 🏛️ while on our Highlights Tour ( can also be seen on your own by visiting in the Summer Thursday-Saturday 12-5pm)

What started as a private antique collection in the home of Allan and Allace Black on Main Street has grown into a community treasure. Purchased in 1986 by the RM of Hart Butte and the Town of Coronach, this collection became the foundation of the museum we know today.
As the collection grew, it found a new home in the former Coronach Union Hospital, an incredible building with its own story, originally built in part from a hangar from the Mossbank Air Force Base and expanded when it opened as a hospital in 1949.
While many of the items come from the original Black Collection, the majority have been generously donated by residents of Coronach and the surrounding area, making this museum a true reflection of our community’s history.
When you walk through the doors, be sure to spot the roaring 1920s mannequin and sign the guest book at the fumed oak desk ✨

🍎 Paisley Brook School
🚗 Stop 4 on the Legends and Landscapes Tour

Step back in time with a visit to the Paisley Brook School House—a charming reminder of prairie life in the early days of settlement.
Nestled in the scenic Big Muddy Valley, this century-old one-room schoolhouse offers a glimpse into a simpler time, when education was at the heart of small rural communities. Imagine students of all ages learning together under one roof, with lessons shaped by the rhythms of life on the land.
As part of your Big Muddy tour, you’ll hear stories of the families, teachers, and children who brought this place to life, and gain a deeper appreciation for the resilience and spirit of early settlers.
This school house has been authentically restored, and many visitors thoroughly enjoy reading the rules that were enforced decades ago, seeing maps of places that no longer exist, and finding out what "the strap" meant 😲

History lives here, come experience it for yourself.
