Why not Refresh Or Build Skills this Fall With A Short Clinic. 👌

Sea Kayak Skills Clinics
We offer 3-hour skills clinics if you just need specific skills or a brush up on skills you have used but partly forgotten 🤔. You know there is more to kayaking than just sitting in the boat 🚣‍♀️ and paddling around, and you are responsibly building or retraining. If you are less experienced, or need to completely refresh, try a Paddle Canada 🇨🇦 course. We can offer up to PC Level 2 Skills, which prepares you for making your own overnight kayaking tours ⛺️. Rescues & Water Safety
This 3 hour clinic will teach/refresh you on rescue skills 🛟🚑, both assisted rescues and self-rescues, as well as other water safety considerations. This is a mostly practical course, so you will be on, and in, the water. 🙌

Navigation & Sea States
This 3 hour clinic will teach/refresh you on navigation skills 📡, coupled with weather and its effect on the sea 🌊 We will spend some time looking at charts and compasses, but will spend a significant time on water. This is ultimately a practical course to get you more confident out paddling.

Paddle Stroke Development
This 3 hour clinic will teach/refresh you on paddling skills, particularly stroke development and how you can work to continuously improve your paddling skills 💪👊. We will on water pretty much the entire time. This is ultimately a practical course to get you more confident and knowledgeable about strokes and maneuvering a kayak.

One of the best things about living on Vancouver Island, BC 🇨🇦 and working in the great outdoors everyday is the wildlife. We're lucky to get to see these majestic birds on many of our tours and we're not embarassed to share just how much we love it ❤️.
The Cowichan Valley is an amazing birding area, known for its raptors, especially. But the variety of birds here is astounding 👀. Our local wetlands draw an incredible migration 🦆, but also hold a vast number of resident species. Birding and Nature tours make for a great outdoor adventure! ☝️

Date Night Ideas for the end of Summer ...❤️
Come Kayak By Moonlight 🌛or Bioluminescence. It's Incredible 🤩!!
- Our night tours are some of the most special times paddling 🛶in Cowichan Bay 🇨🇦. The times vary throughout the summer, as the days lengthen headed toward summer solstice, and then shorten after June 21st. We start these tours just before sunset, watching the colorful glow over the surrounding mountains 🗻, paddling slowly around the bay, waiting for darkness and the first light of the bioluminescence. The full moon 🌝nights give an added treat, but limit the visibility of the bioluminescence. These are all really the same tour, but what you see is different.
