Dildo And Area Interpretation Center Discover the rich and diverse history of D***o, Newfoundland at this locally owned and operated museum.

From the Beothuk people to the Giant squid, come and learn about the culture, history and the people who made D***o and surrounding area what they are today. Stop by and take a tour with one of our knowledgeable tour guides, visit our craft store, "The Captain's Corner", featuring local arts and crafts or take a picture with our town mascot Captain D***o! The museum has something to offer young and old alike, kids will love the touch-tank and aquarium, filled with various marine life.

As per request. The wheelbarrow and various tools owned by William Gosse, the barrel maker of D***o. Cooperage or barrel making was a huge industry in Newfoundland during when salt cod was exported in large barrels called fish drums. William Gosse loaded these barrels unto the train which conveniently passed right next to his house located just
between what is now known as Route 80 and the "old track". Donated by his granddaughters a couple of years ago! Definitely a big part of our history-thanks!
