The first trip to the hali grounds was a great success. Donated a halibut charter for the Duncan Salmon Steelhead group derby and the lucky winners had a perfect day with some great average size halibut. Topped off with a limit of crab the boys were super happy. gear as always!!

Put the blades to work today and found some real solid fish. Acres and acres of immature herring were being chased by aggressive chinooks today and the 3.0 gforce and skinny G spoons were a perfect match to the bait size.

New product alert!!! For the past few weeks I’ve been using the new Reef high speed mooching reels. They have been awesome. They feature a 5 1/4 inch arbour which gives them the high speed retrieval abilities. I can keep up to my hi speed downriggers coming up which is awesome. The reels are super smooth and perfectly balanced and are easily changed from RH to LH retrieve with a freespool switch as well. They come with a maintenance free graphite drag that is a smooth as butter. If you’re looking to get into a new reel for the season the price tag on these reels is very good. A reel that performs better than reels almost twice its price. Available exclusively

Tell me you’re a fishing guide without telling me you’re a fishing guide!!! This hat was brand new at the start of April. After 130 days on the water guiding she looks a little worn. Hahah
