🎉 Celebrating Seniors Month at SJHS! 💙 Compassionate Care Lives Here

June is Seniors Month - a time to honour the lives, wisdom, and contributions of older adults in our communities. At St. Joseph's Villa and Margaret's Place Hospice, members of St. Joseph’s Health System, we’re proud to provide compassionate, high-quality, person-centred care to seniors across our hospitals, long-term care homes, and community programs.

This year’s theme: “Fit, Active and Healthy Seniors” 💪🏽🧘‍♂️🧠

Throughout June, we’re launching a special campaign: , featuring reflections from seniors - residents, patients, clients, and beyond - sharing what compassionate care means to them and what advice they’d give to help others be more compassionate.

💬 Their stories.
📸 Their faces.
❤️ Their wisdom.

Join us as we celebrate the seniors we’re honoured to serve and the caregivers who make compassion come to life, every day.

👉 Follow along all month as we share powerful photos, quotes and inspiration.

Wishlist Wednesday is back - and we’re feeling so grateful 💙
A very warm thank you to everyone who donated during our last Wishlist Wednesday for Margaret’s Place Hospice! Your generosity is truly inspiring and helps us offer comfort and care to residents and their families when it matters most. Because of your support, we're able to provide the small, thoughtful touches that mean so much during difficult days.

This week, we’re wishing for:
💙 All purpose Flour
💙 Sugar (white and brown)
💙 Chocolate Chips
💙 Nutella

💡 Did you know we have a full team of volunteer bakers who lovingly prepare over 1200 homemade cookies, squares, and sweet treats every month for our residents and their families? When the days feel heavy, something as simple as a fresh-baked cookie can lift spirits, spark a smile, or offer just the comfort someone didn’t know they needed. Our bakers go through a lot of supplies to continue offering that kind of support!

Donations can be dropped off at the Margaret’s Place Hospice Reception Desk – 170 Ogilvie St. Dundas. If you provide your purchase receipt, we’re happy to issue a charitable tax receipt for your generosity.

💬 Have questions? Reach out anytime to Sherri Johnston at [email protected] or drop us a line below.

Thank you for helping us keep the shelves stocked, the baking trays full and the kindness flowing. Your support means so much.💙

Thank you to everyone who helped make Hike the Valley 2025 our biggest and most inspiring hike yet! Over 450 residents, family members, volunteers, staff, and community supporters came together at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club to Celebrate, Honour, and Remember their loved ones and those who have been touched by the compassionate care at St. Joseph’s Villa and Margaret’s Place Hospice.

With your amazing support, we’ve raised over $124,000 (and counting!) — setting new records for both attendance and fundraising! 🎉 More importantly, Hike the Valley brought our community together in a deeply meaningful way.

From heartfelt stories to shared hugs and meaningful connections, the evening reminded us that no one walks alone. We are walking together on a journey of compassion.

Stay tuned for all of our photos later this week – in the meantime, please share your own special memories from that night and tag . Joseph’s Villa and Foundation!

Thank you for being a part of our Campus of Care family and helping us build a community of compassion that extends far beyond our walls 💙 We can’t wait to see you next year!
