Happy Adventure Tours

Happy Adventure Tours Boat & kayak tours departing from Terra Nova National Park & Salvage, Newfoundland. Icebergs, whales, puffins & unforgettable coastal adventures.

Zodiac Inshore Tour

Our Inshore Zodiac Tour explores the sheltered waters of Terra Nova National Park while searching for eagles, whales, and icebergs along the coastline. Along the way, we visit beautiful coastal campsites including Minchin’s Cove and South Broad Cove, offering a unique view of the park from the water. Zodiac Offshore Tour

Our Offshore Zodiac Tour heads beyond the coastline to

explore the entrance of Bonavista Bay. We visit the large puffin colony on Little Denier Island while searching for whales, icebergs, and the many eagle nests scattered along our coast. From there, we pass through Scott’s Tickle to the resettled community of Smokey Hole. Guests will also hear stories of Happy Adventure’s pirate history before venturing into Sandy Cove’s famous sea cave, “The Dungeon.” The tour also includes a stop at Sandy Cove’s stunning white sandy beach and sand bank. Hiking Shuttle Services

We offer pick-up and drop-off services to Minchin’s Cove, where guests can enjoy a scenic 4 km hike to the summit of Mount Stanford for breathtaking views of Bonavista Bay, or continue along Terra Nova National Park’s Outport Trail. Taxi services to Minchin’s Cove are available one-way or round trip. Overnight tours and sunset tours can also be arranged upon request. Kayak Tours

Prefer to paddle? Join one of our guided kayak tours departing from Terra Nova National Park. Our tours follow the coastline toward Buckley’s Cove, where guests learn paddling basics while taking in the scenic coastline and soaring eagles overhead. As we continue toward Mount Stanford, our guides share stories about Newfoundland’s marine life, coastal ecosystems, and the natural beauty of Terra Nova National Park. Looking for something more adventurous? Try our Dungeon Tour. Paddle along the coast of Sandy Cove before venturing through the dark sea cave known as “The Dungeon” to discover the hidden beach tucked inside. Kayaks are also available for rent for experienced paddlers from our Terra Nova National Park location.

What a perfect day to get out on the water! 🌊

Join us for a boat or kayak adventure and experience the beauty of Newfoundland’s coastline from a whole new perspective. Boat tours are available from both Terra Nova National Park and Salvage, while kayak tours and rentals are available from Terra Nova National Park.

This action shot was captured just last week while the beautiful iceberg off Salvage was still putting on a show. While the iceberg has now broken apart, there’s still plenty to see out on the water. From rugged coastal scenery and hidden coves to seabirds, marine life, and breathtaking views around every turn.

All of our tours are back for the season!

Our zodiac boat tours are now running daily and there’s currently a beautiful iceberg sitting just off the shore of Salvage, Newfoundland. If you’ve been wanting to see an iceberg up close, now is the perfect time to get out on the water with us!

Kayaking season has also officially started back up, with both tours and rentals available in Terra Nova National Park. Our office and café are located right next to the Visitor Information Centre.

Our café is now open as well, although hours are currently limited while we get everything up and running for the season. A more regular schedule will be shared soon!

Last year, we had the opportunity to speak with CBC Radio’s Melissa Tobin about the transformation of the old fish plant in Salvage into what is now the Salvaje Longhouse, home to Salvaje Brewing Co.

That interview has now been featured in a new article on our website, sharing more about the history of the building, the vision behind the project, and how this space continues to evolve as a destination on Newfoundland’s coast.

Our website is a great place to stay up to date with stories like this, along with future updates, news, and information about everything happening at the Salvaje Longhouse.

We had an amazing time at the Outdoor Adventure Show in Toronto last weekend!

It was a pleasure to be included in such a fantastic event, and we sincerely thank everyone who took the time to visit our booth. Your enthusiasm for experiencing Newfoundland & Labrador made us excited for what’s ahead!

Our goal in attending was to bring a little piece of Newfoundland to Toronto, and invite you to come experience the real thing. We’re looking forward to welcoming new visitors from the show to our beautiful corner of NL in the months ahead!
