I plan a lot of different trips, but some come up again and again. These are the ones I know inside and out, the trips I keep coming back to.

Disney and Universal vacations are probably my sweet spot. I've done more than 10 trips to the parks myself, so I know the app, the dining windows and where the real time-savers are.

All-inclusive resorts are the easy reset. Pick your beach, unpack once, and let someone else handle the rest for a week.

Cruises are great when you want to see a few places without repacking, whether it's a first sailing or your tenth.

Europe is endless. City breaks, island hopping, a slow week somewhere, or a route that ties a few countries together.

Family vacations are close to my heart since I travel with my own husband and two kids. I know what actually works when you've got different ages and energy levels along for the ride.

Multi-city international trips are for when you want to go bigger, spending real time in places like Malaysia and Thailand, which I've done myself.

And custom itineraries are my favourite kind of challenge. If your trip doesn't fit a tidy category, that's exactly the kind I love building from scratch.

Hi, I'm Jodi ๐Ÿ‘‹
I got bit by the travel bug young. Back in junior high, I got a once-in-a-lifetime chance to travel to France, and I never really looked back.

Since then I've travelled far and wide with my husband and our two kids, including a lot of Southeast Asia. We spent extended time in Malaysia and Thailand, and if you made me pick a favourite, I'd say Singapore every time.

I'm also a huge Disney fan. I've done over 10 trips to the parks in the US and Paris, and I even talked my now-husband into having a Disney World wedding.

A lot of the travel advice I share comes from actually doing it myself โ€” often with the whole family in tow. The good, the chaotic, and all the little things you only learn by going. ๐Ÿ’™

Would I recommend Boston for a long weekend? Absolutely.

I just got back and I'm still a little smitten. A game at Fenway Park was the highlight for me. There's something about that old ballpark, the crowd, the history in the walls, that you just don't get anywhere else. Even if you're not a huge baseball person, a Red Sox night is worth it for the atmosphere alone.

The rest of the trip was mostly wandering, which is my favourite way to see a city. Back Bay and those brownstone streets are so pretty you'll keep stopping to take photos. Boston Common and the Public Garden are right there when you want to slow down for a bit, and the food was genuinely good everywhere we ended up.

What surprised me most was how much we packed in without it ever feeling like a march from one sight to the next. Everything's close, walkable, and easy to string together. A few days felt like plenty and not rushed.

Planning your first Disney trip? After 10+ trips to the parks (yes, even a Disney World Wedding!) I've learned that the biggest surprises usually happen before you ever leave home.

Here are 3 things that catch first-timers off guard:

1. Book dining 60 days out. Disney's dining reservations open 60 days in advance, and the popular restaurants can book up quickly. Log into My Disney Experience the morning your window opens and grab reservations early.

2. Set up the My Disney Experience app before you go. Download it at home, link your tickets and resort reservation, connect everyone in your travel party, and get familiar with where to find dining, wait times and Lightning Lane. You'll use the app constantly once you're in the parks.

3. Pack a park bag the night before. Sunscreen, ponchos, snacks, phone charger, and a change of clothes for the kids. These all cost more inside the park than they would before you leave home. Five minutes of packing the night before saves real money and a stressful detour mid-day.

Disney World has a learning curve, especially on your first trip. Getting a few things sorted before you arrive makes those first park days a whole lot easier.
