“You don’t know where to look, there’s just so much life everywhere.”

That’s what one of our guests shared while sea kayaking off North Vancouver Island, and she’s right.

We plan our trips around the best widlife viewing based on time and place. This remote corner of BC is ground zero for orca research, a place I’ve been captivated by since writing my university thesis on whale and dolphin conservation. I knew then that I had to share this wild, pristine area, not from a cruise ship, but up close, paddle in hand.

I’ve partnered with Indigenous guides and local experts to create an itinerary that immerses you in one of the most biodiverse places on earth. Orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, grizzly bears and more. Wildlife here follows its own rhythm, not ours. And that’s exactly how it should be.

As a longtime journalist, I am all about discovering new stories and the ones that haven’t been told. That’s why the idea of going to the places everyone goes is not that interesting to me. Overtourism has also been devastating for many places, wrecking their souls. When there are more tourists than locals you know you aren’t in the right place.

I am an explorer who wants to help protect the unique magic of a place and preserve its natural beauty. That’s what all our trips are about - exploring spectacular wild places and hidden gems and meeting the local people who make these special places their home.

Zambia is home to an amazing variety of wildlife - some of the highest concentration of leopards, hippos and elephants in Africa, to flocks of the brilliantly coloured carmine bea eater.

It’s also home to the walking safari, a uniquely exhilarting way to experience the African bush. Get away from the jeeps and dive into the bush for a safari of a lifetime.
