Had a great stay at Grand Ixtapa. Lorna Rebollar was a very gracious and helpful host. The Playa Linda beach was very small at the Grand but their sister hotel The Azul Ixtapa has an ok beach around a kilometer long. With shared facilities and free non-motorized water craft and hobbie cat tours. Close by was a great eco area with a large bird rookery, crocodiles and iguanas. Rooms were spacious with large balconies. Ours had a whirlpool bath, seperate shower, separate toilet and large walk in closet.
The Azul Grand Ixtapa and Azul Ixtapa are great options to stay in Ixtapa. Taxis are not too expensive (200 pesos) for one city to next, but the local busses are cheap with 20 pesos the most expensive ride.
