The conditions at Marmot Basin have been absolutely fantastic! Over the past 24 hours, they have received 7cm of fresh powder, with 28cm over the last 3 days.

Saturday is shaping up to be a great day to hit the slopes with a high of -2 and a low of -7. We have plenty of space on the MagicBus so do not miss your chance to enjoy a great day on the mountain!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: We have a departure time change. Please arrive at the Edmonton Inn for 4:30am for a 5:00am departure. This is due to a road closure en-route to Marmot Basin.

For some good news, the weather this upcoming weekend is looking awesome! Saturday is sunny with a high of +2 and Sunday has some snow with a high of 0. Marmot has received 21cm of snow the past 7 days, including 10cm the past 24 hours.

What we do?

We do the driving, handle the ticket lines, rentals + lesson packages if you have never been. We do our best to remove the stress so you can enjoy, nap on the drive and create memories on the slopes!

Discover Downhill is built for beginners who want to learn the basics, feel confident, and have fun on the mountain — without the stress of figuring everything out on your own.

You’ll learn on slow, beginner-friendly terrain, and instead of a chairlift, you’ll ride a magic carpet — an easy conveyor belt that gently brings you uphill. No tricky lift to get on or off. Just step on, ride up, and focus on having fun.

The instructors are patient, experienced, and love helping people who are brand new. No pressure, no stress — just a safe, welcoming way to learn at your own pace.

2 hr beginner lesson, full day lift ticket and standard equipment rental ages 6+
