Spotlight on the team! Last year .lanes provided a free bike to .silas who had just moved to Waterloo from Kenya to pursue her PhD on sustainable agriculture and water governance. Fridah had never had a bike or learned to ride. Since that time she has become a passionate water cyclist - including joining a 30km ride in the fall. She is now one of our emerging leaders and will have a big role this summer in a very meaningful new partnership. thank you .lanes

Water Cycles is thrilled to join the SDG expo . A wonderful opportunity to support the next generation of sustainability leaders and to get everyone to connect to water and community through bikes 🚲. We will once again play our board game (a water cycles adventure - developed by the amazing and !) to take a journey through the Grand River and learn about its rich cultural and natural heritage. Of course a bit of candy helps too.

🌾🚴🏽‍♀️The Rural Romp Ride is BACK for its second year, September 27th, with water and farm stops at and and beyond. After-party at Water Cycles HQ in Belwood. Register today!

Join us for the 2nd annual *self-guided* water cycles ride as part of the Wellington County Rural Romp , September 27th. Celebrate the Grand River and the food and farm culture it supports. After the ride, join a small harvest gathering in Belwood at Water Cycles HQ. Route options start and finish in Belwood, ranging from about 15km to 100km (with additional options of 40km and 60km). The routes and rides primarily use rural roads, mostly gravel, and rail trail.

Note: This ride is completely self-guided. You ride at your own risk. Water Cycles publishes the information about routes to offer a library of routes available to the community, as part of our mission of reconnecting people and water through cycling. The farms along the route are participating in the Wellington County Rural Romp, and some stops will have free water (and food for sale). The ride is not sanctioned, and there is no insurance.
