Here we go again folks - the fireworks season is almost upon us so we are organizing courses for you to be certified to work on fireworks displays. The next one in in New Hamburg ON on April 29 - see you there for an informative (and necessary) session.

DISPLAY FIREWORKS SAFETY AND LEGAL AWARENESS COURSE

In order to handle display fireworks, and in accordance with Natural Resources Canada, Explosives Regulatory Division regulations, you must first attend the "Display Fireworks Safety and Legal Awareness Course"

COURSE LOCATIONS:

New Hamburg Municipal Building - Ernie Ritz Room
151 Huron Street (Downtown by the Fire Department building)
New Hamburg, ON

Time/Date: 8:00am - noon Saturday April 29 2017

Time/Date 5:30pm - 9:00pm Monday June 19 2017

If you, or members of your organization (e.g. Fire Department) are interested in attending one of these courses please email your details to us. We can also provide a course at your own location.

Course Fee:

If you intend to work on displays and receive a valid licence to enable you to work on fireworks displays the fee is $150.00 payable by cash or cheque.
If you wish to attend "for information only" the course is $20 and this includes the Display Fireworks Manual.
(Please note that "Authority Having Jurisdiction licences" are no longer issued by Explosives Regulatory Division, so if you are from an organization that is responsible for issuing permits for fireworks displays, e.g. Fire Departments, this course will be useful).

The "Display Fireworks and Legal Awareness" course is taking place this Saturday, November 14 at 8:30 an (registration at 8:00 am) at the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights office at 5400 Robinson Street, Niagara Falls (2nd Floor).

Don't forget that the last Display Fireworks and Legal Awareness course of the year is happening November 14 2015. See attached for details.
This course is mandatory if you want to work on fireworks displays in Canada.
