Please be advised that, effective immediately, there is a temporary ban on the use of water for lawn watering, vehicle or trailer washing, and other non-essential uses.

✅ Everyday water use within your trailer is not affected.
🌱 Light watering of plants and gardens is still permitted.

🎃 CAMP CARNAGE OPENS – THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT! 🎃

📍 Outside the Phase 1 Hut
🕖 7:30–8:30 PM – Youth & “Faint of Heart” Hour
No jump scares, flashlights allowed – a milder walk-through so everyone can enjoy the haunted atmosphere without the fright factor.
🕗 8:30 PM–10:30 PM – Full Scare Mode (Enter… if you dare 👻)

Expect frightening scenes, narrow hallways, blackout areas, strobe lights, smoke effects, loud noises, and scare tactics that will keep your heart racing.

⚠️ Important:

If you have any medical conditions or concerns that could be triggered by lights, smoke, loud noises, or sudden scares, please do not enter.

Our actors will never touch you – please do not touch them.

Want to leave mid-tour? Let an actor know and you’ll be escorted out safely.

📢 REPOST - Advisory for Highland Pines Campers – Blue-Green Algae Alert at Belwood Lake 🌊

A suspected small blue-green algae bloom has been observed near the west side of Shand Dam at Belwood Lake. These types of blooms have occurred in the past at various Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) reservoirs, including Belwood Lake.

As a precaution, signs will be posted along the Highland Pines waterfront and we are encouraging all campers, cottagers, and visitors to take the following safety measures if algae is visible:

⚠️ Avoid all contact with the algae
🐶 Keep children and pets away from the water
🎣 Do not eat fish from the lake
🚱 Do not use lake water for drinking or any household use
🚤 Boating is permitted where allowed, but avoid touching the water
🏖️ Do not swim where scum or algae is present, especially along the shoreline

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health Unit are keeping us up to date. For health-related concerns, please contact the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Health Unit directly. GRCA Website: www.grandriver.ca
