My favorite birds, the Woodcocks. They're generally nocturnal, so we'll have to settle for a nighttime video.

They are really are one of the strangest and most charming birds. Their combination of a long bill, eyes set high and far back on the head, and that wonderfully secretive lifestyle makes them seem almost prehistoric.

If you're seeing or hearing them now, migration is certainly a possibility. The American Woodcock undertakes seasonal migrations, with northern populations moving south for the winter and then returning north in spring. In autumn they often become more active and visible at dawn, dusk, or even at night as they prepare for or begin migration flights.

Why, OH WHY, did I not put a video camera here?! I always assume they will not be back. This is one of my furthest cameras and I do not come here very often. I wish I had brought a better camera today.

The date time is wrong. It was off by 1 month and 1 day. I fixed it today.

Turkey Vulture spreading it wings. First video is pretty interesting because it so windy. Its tuff blows in the wind.

I am having trouble with this camera and over exposure. It needs to point in this direction but the sun always shines too much from that direction.
