From Florida to Quebec – A Skid-Mounted Pump on the Move

A new client just trusted us with moving a BBA skid-mounted water pump, and it’s already loaded up and on the way. Picked up in Jacksonville, Florida, this haul will take the driver through a true stretch of North America — from the palm trees and coastal flatlands of the Southeast, through the rolling hills and hardwood forests of the Mid-Atlantic, past the Great Lakes region, and finally into the rugged landscapes of Quebec.

Repeat Client on the Move – JLG 800AJ Heading West

This JLG 800AJ has been busy. We first hauled it from the Ritchie Bros. Auction in Mont St-Hilaire, QC to a job site in Orleans, ON for a repeat client. Now it’s loaded up again and heading further west to Winnipeg, MB to continue the work.

We’ll also be hauling a second unit later this week for the same client — more to come on that. It’s always great to see repeat business and continue building strong relationships with our clients.

From Oregon to the Rockies – A Smooth Delivery for a New Client

Just wrapped up a haul for a new client based in Canmore, Alberta — transporting a parts washer from the Ritchie Bros. Auction site in Hermiston, Oregon to Deadman’s Flat, Alberta.

The trip crossed from the open roads of the Pacific Northwest into the dramatic scenery of the Canadian Rockies, ending with a smooth delivery right at the client’s location. Photos show the final moments of the job — unloading with a Bobcat loader and moving the unit toward the warehouse.

A great finish to a successful haul, and we look forward to working together again in the future.

Driver just loaded up in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada with a shipment of rented equipment including a job box, clamp timber, and impact hammer attachment - 35,000 lbs —all bound for Sayreville, New Jersey, USA.

🚨 Are Your Carriers Legal to Operate in Canada? 🇨🇦

We’re seeing a growing issue that’s catching more shippers off guard.

Some U.S.-based carriers are quoting and hauling domestic Canadian freight without the proper Canadian registrations, GST numbers, or authority to legally do so.

👉 What does that mean for you?

• Risk of delivery delays
• Exposure to CRA audits and penalties
• Zero coverage if impound, damage or loss occurs en route

🛑 What to Check Before Hiring a Carrier in Canada:

✅ Where is the company based?
Look beyond a cheap quote or .ca website. Is their physical address actually in Canada?

✅ Do they have a Canadian phone number?
U.S.-based numbers only? That’s a red flag for domestic freight.

✅ Do they have a valid Canadian GST number?
Every legal Canadian freight provider should have one.

✅ Are they registered with the Canadian Motor Carrier system (NSC) or have a CVOR?
Ask for their NSC / CVOR number or verify it through Transport Canada.

✅ Do they issue Canadian invoices in Canadian dollars? Is it complete with the GST amount listed?
If not, they may be operating from Canada and/or without proper CRA compliance.

Don’t let a low quote cost you more in the long run.
Ask the right questions. Demand documentation.
