💍🌴 FREE DESTINATION WEDDING?!

Yes… but let’s talk about what “free” actually means. 👀

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is:

“Wait… the resort offers a FREE wedding package?! We’re done!” 😍

Not quite. 😂

Many resorts offer complimentary wedding packages when you meet certain stay or group-booking requirements. For example, select Dreams Resorts in Mexico offer a complimentary “Weddings in Paradise” package when qualifying room-night requirements are met.

And they can be an AMAZING value!

But a complimentary package is usually the foundation—not necessarily the entire wedding you’re dreaming of.

Depending on the resort, you may get:

🌺 Ceremony décor
💐 Bouquet & boutonniere
🪑 Ceremony chairs
🥂 Cake & sparkling w**e
👰 Wedding coordinator
✨ Romantic extras

But you may NOT automatically get:

📸 Photography
🎥 Videography
🍹 Cocktail hour
🍽️ Private reception
🎶 DJ/entertainment
💐 Extensive floral décor
✨ Upgraded décor & rentals
🍰 Specialty cake
🥂 Private bar

And those extras can add up QUICKLY. 😅

There are also some unicorn resorts/packages that include considerably more—which is where things get REALLY interesting. 🦄💍

That’s where I come in.

I don’t just look for the resort with the biggest “FREE WEDDING” headline.

I look at the WHOLE picture:

✨ What are you actually getting?
✨ What have my couples said about their experience?
✨ Which resorts consistently deliver?
✨ What surprises or additional costs should you know about?
✨ Does the resort fit your group AND your vision?

Because a free wedding package can be incredible for one couple and completely wrong for another.

Maybe you’re happy with a beautiful ceremony and dinner at a resort restaurant.

Or maybe you want a private beachfront reception, cocktail hour, DJ, photography and a full wedding-day experience.

Those are VERY different weddings. ❤️
