We wish to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to our friend and colleague Janet (Jann) Cyr. Jann’s wonderful personality and optimistic spirit were seen by all those who had the privilege of meeting and working with her. Jann, from Pasqua First Nation, stayed close to her roots in Fort Qu’Appelle and the Qu’Appelle Valley throughout her career at First Nations University of Canada (formerly Saskatchewan Indian Federated College) and Leading Thunderbird Lodge.

More recently she helped in the development of Red Eagle Lodge on Pasqua First Nation and was elected to the Town of Fort Qu’Appelle council in November 2024. Jann’s community involvement extended to All Nations’ Healing Hospital (ANHH) where she served as a member of the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) since September 2025, bringing her wisdom and joyful enthusiasm. Jann will be missed by not only her PFAC colleagues, but by all staff at ANHH and FHQ Health Services.
