Verve Travel just returned from a 3 day conference on Group Travel.

The hosting venue was the amazing AVA Resort, only 15 minutes ftom the Cancun airport. This Resort is a wonderful location for families that enjoy good food, lots of optional indoor activities that include but are not limited to bowling, lazer tag, escape room, spa and a wonderful pool.

We also were given the opportunity to inspect the Royalton Riviera, Royalton Hideaway and Valentin
Imperial! Each resort offers a different experience and will appeal to different clientele.

Valentin is an adult only, very romantic location which makes me think of honeymoons and anniversaries. Beautiful property.

The learning and networking with fellow agents and suppliers was extraordinary. So much learning!

The world changes so very quickly and so does technology - constant learning and adapting is essential in the travel business. It keeps us young!

When you scroll through travel related groups and articles, you will find an abundance of travellers that are downright phobic about local currencies. They want to be told that their USD is appreciated everywhere, and truthfully, it is not. In some countries, USD is the standard, but those are exceptions. There is a difference between being appreciated and being tolerated.

I find that adapting to local currencies is part of travel. Its part of culture and education. I wouldnt think of missing out on this experience!

When I get home, my leftover currency goes in a drawer. It is an incentive to return to these incredible places!

Today, i was checking to see if i had Mexican pesos. I do not. I must have spent them all, so I shall purchase more.

These days, you dont often need much cash, cards are standard in a lot of cities - but markets, vendors and small businesses often appreciate cash. And tips in any local currency are appreciated.

I am pleased to be part of this conference and learning session. Group Travel is a definite passion! Since Verve opened 3.5 years ago, we have organized tailor made group experiences to South Africa & Zimbabwe Peru & Colombia and Egypt & Jordan.

Verve Travel has postponed the Group Tour of Egypt and Jordan to March 2028!

We are waiting just a little longer, hoping that we can be more confident planning travel in the region. The world changes awfully fast. Tourism is continuing, unaffected in both countries - however sometimes we just want to reduce as many possible risks as we can.

These two countries are incredibly worthy of a visit and there are a couple of spots available for anyone that wishes to secure a place, and is content to wait just a little longer for the trip. Please contact me for more details. This trip will be a dream!

Weather you opt for the hike or the train, it is a magical place. The Andres are absolutely stunning. The rivers are clean and clear. The people are warm and friendly. The Sacred Valley is incredible. So much to do, so many things to see.

This picture was taken last week on the train between Brighton & London. My daughter and I were on our way home after a wonderful DIY itinerary. Its a good life when both going away and coming home are equally exciting!

I returned to work yesterday and was gleeful. I love what I do. I have clients with all sorts of travel interests, styles and budgets. Every step in the process to match the client to the experience is interesting to me. There are no boring days!

Greetings Travellers! This is Georgie. He is the largest cat i have ever seen, and as a Crazy Cat Lady, I have seen many.

Georgie lives at Windsor Castle. His owners work and live in one of the staff apartments in this massive structure. They let him out, and he wanders the grounds like he owns the place, as cats do.

We met Georgie and had a pleasant interaction with him.

These kinds of moments are why I love to travel. Yes, there are so many things to see, do, eat, drink and experience - but unexpected and small interactions are my favorite. It's the little things, Georgie thinks, and I agree!

I am not sure where the time went! Here we are in mid-August and thinking about Fall! That sure happened fast.

To those local clients thst have been challenged with floods and ensuing property damage, my heart goes out to you. I have heard some terrible stories about how much these unusual weather patterns are costing in time, energy and money. Its been quite a summer.

Ocean cruises - the earlier booked, the best price and cabin selection.

Escorted Tours - if you know where you would like to go, let's get you fitted with the best operator to fit your wishes.

Independent travel with tailor made itineraries- always best to begin work early.

Resorts - if you know where and when, a deposit will secure your spot, leaving you worry free.
