I am not sure where the time went! Here we are in mid-August and thinking about Fall! That sure happened fast.

To those local clients thst have been challenged with floods and ensuing property damage, my heart goes out to you. I have heard some terrible stories about how much these unusual weather patterns are costing in time, energy and money. Its been quite a summer.

Ocean cruises - the earlier booked, the best price and cabin selection.

Escorted Tours - if you know where you would like to go, let's get you fitted with the best operator to fit your wishes.

Independent travel with tailor made itineraries- always best to begin work early.

Resorts - if you know where and when, a deposit will secure your spot, leaving you worry free.

Best time to book travel to Ireland or Scotland is a year prior to travel - for the most options, best prices and more control over your vacation. So, if you are thinking of either or both countries for next summer, it is wise to secure the vacation you wish to have with a deposit to hold your place. I have suppliers that can fit any budget - from basic to luxury. There are walking tours, coach tours, individual travel options and small groups. You name it, with enough notice, I will find it. The time to start the conversation is now ! Call me!

Let's talk about Africa. For many of us, Africa is the biggest trip of our lives. There is nothing like it. It is incredibly important to pair yourself with a travel agent that has been there, that has contacts and suppliers that are trusted and tested and who will work with you every step of the way to take your vision and match it to the experience.

There are SO many questions to be asked that will narrow the scope.

1. Your anticipated travel dates will be very key to the conversation. Africa is a huge continent and there are different things to see and experience at different times of the year. You will want to maximize your experience by choosing the country or countries that will provide the best experience during your travel window.

2. What level of comfort do you envision yourself enjoying on this trip? Let's talk about the types of accomodation that are available and what level feels right to you.

3. Do you wish to join a group tour? Or do you wish to travel alone or with your partner or small group? No matter what the answer is, there is a product and supplier that can fit.

4. Let's talk about your tolerance for long drives - some experiences involve long drives and some do not. We can find the places that can match your tolerance.

5. Let's talk about food. You will eat very well in Africa - but if you have any specific diet requirements, we can ensure that these needs are met.

6. There are so many options - for those who enjoy camping, which includes pitching your own tents and assisting with camp set up and take down - we've got that. For those who want some luxury, with beautiful safari lodges and luxurous candle lit dinners on beautifully set tables - we've got that.

7. Do you want to have some city life? Maybe Safari for a week, followed by some time in an urban area to take in the sight seeing, shopping and restaurant scenes.

8. Do you like the beach? Maybe safari for a week, followed by a lovely stay in a beach resort.

9. If your travel budget is substantial and you would like to add something special on to your trip, consider a Gorilla trek in Rwanda or Uganda. Permits are very costly, but it is an incredible, unforgettable experience.

This is a photo taken by a client. It is the night sky from Floreana Island, part of the Galapogos Islands. Pictures like this remind me of moments that are both spectacular and silent at the same time. These moments stick with us and become part of who we are. On the tough days, our memories can take us back to these places. Pictures rarely do justice to Mother Nature's miracles, can you imagine the real thing?

What? Christmas? Spring just arrived, its not the right time to talk about Christmas!

Except it is. European Christmas Market River Cruises sell out, every single year.

If this is in your future, there may be a very, very small number of options available for 2026. If you can hang on until 2027, we should be looking at itineraries and cabin space now. A deposit will reserve exactly what you want, and early booking means better pricing.

It may seem wrong to think about Chistmas now, but with high demand and finite inventory, a small investment of energy now, will ensure this dream comes true!
