Secrets Tides All Inclusive
Last week my husband and I celebrated our 26th anniversary at Secrets Tides which is adults only, in Uvero Alto (40 minutes outside Punta Cana). Secrets Tides blew our expectations out of the water!!
The water was not as beautiful like it normally is but we knew that coming in the summer months would most likely result in that. They did a great job with keeping the beach clean however.
The resort is stunning and so clean!
The highlights of the trip were definitely the resort itself (staff and property). The room was immaculate as well. Modern, large and spacious. We chose for a swim out room which was very private which was very nice. I liked being able to have the choice of where we wanted to sit out each day.
We chose to stay preferred which was a first. The preferred lounges were very nice to be able to go into and get a cocktail or a snack. It was nice that it was located right across from our room! It also included Micky, our Butler and he was very nice and was always there when we needed him. He arranged to have a banner to be across our door for our anniversary and also arranged for chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and rose petals in our room on the special day.
Every meal and every server were fantastic! The food was amazing and it was served so beautifully. There are 7 al la carte restaurants. No buffet for the dinner meal. They were all incredible!! Since we were preferred we could also go to Oceana for breakfast or lunch instead of the huge buffet, which had a ton of selection. There was also a food truck food for preferred guests and that too was great and we had that often.
The Coco Cafe was great! They made a great frappe and iced coffee. Open 24/7 as well.
I love musicals and shows and they were amazing! They had retro night, Studio 54, Dominican Night, Magic Show, A rock show and of course my favourite of all The Greatest Showman show! The sports bar was also fun and our last night we went to the silent disco in the lobby which was awesome!! We danced the night away with different selections of music!
We did not do any excursions or use the spa on this trip. We were there just to relax and be commitment free which is so unlike us! I did go to the bracelet making workshop which I am pleased of what I came up with and I did take part in the aqua fit classes!
The weather was so perfect. It would call for rain, but we had two downpours in the evening for 5 minutes and that was it! Right as the sun was coming up and right as it was going down, the humidity picked up but other than that, there was nothing but nice breezes and beautiful sun. While it was hot in the sun for sure you could get under an umbrella or a cabana and it was very nice and tolerable. No mosquitoes at all either.
There are 3 pools and they all have swim up bars. We had access to the preferred pool but it was the busiest so we usually sat and one of the other pools. The servers at pools worked hard and came around often to get us drinks.
Our overall Impression was that it was an amazing place, and no one will be disappointed! I would definitely recommend this place!!
