After seven wonderful years with us, our manager Christina is heading to nursing school! Christina, thank you for your hard work, dedication and everything you’ve brought to our team over the years. You’ll leave some big boots to fill, but we’re so proud of you and excited for what’s ahead. Congratulations, Christina! 🩺🎉

As we prepare for this change, we’re looking for a dependable, experienced leader to help keep our busy season running smoothly!

With approximately 18 employees, three locations and 40 horses, we need someone who can see what needs doing, take initiative and confidently manage the day-to-day responsibilities.

We’re looking for someone who is available to return year after year and wants to grow with our business as a long-term member of our team.

Part of your role will be hiring your own staff to work alongside you at Brudenell Riding Stables. You’ll help choose, train and lead a dependable team you can count on throughout the season.

Your role will include:

• Recruiting, interviewing and hiring staff
• Training new employees and setting clear expectations
• Creating staff schedules and organizing daily activities independently
• Leading, supporting and supervising our team
• Handling staff concerns and solving problems as they arise
• Overseeing horse care, saddling and ride preparation
• Pitching in with feeding, watering, stalls and general barn chores
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for our horses, staff and guests
• Providing friendly customer service and keeping operations organized

Extensive horse experience, strong leadership skills and a willingness to work alongside the team are required. You must be comfortable taking responsibility and keeping things moving when the day gets busy!

🗓 Season: June–October, including weekends and holidays, with availability to return each season.

What we offer:

• Competitive wages based on experience
• An additional $5 per hour for someone who can safely and confidently drive a team of horses

🐴 PART-TIME WEEKEND HELP WANTED – SEPTEMBER 🐴

Brudenell Riding Stables is looking for a reliable, hard-working adult to join our team on weekends throughout the month of September.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Is comfortable and experienced around horses
• Can saddle and unsaddle
• Can help feed, water and care for horses
• Is comfortable helping customers with helmets, mounting and dismounting
• Can assist with or guide trail rides
• Is dependable, friendly and not afraid of hands-on work

🐴 FALL RIDING LESSONS 2026 — PRE-REGISTRATION IS OPEN! 🍂

It’s already time to start putting together our Fall Riding Lesson schedule at Brudenell Riding Stables!

If you or your child would like to ride with us this fall, please fill out the pre-registration form below. 👇

Our Fall Semester will run for 16 weeks and tuition is $800 + HST for the full semester, split into 4 monthly payments of $200 + HST.

Filling out this form helps us figure out our numbers, availability and build our master schedule so we can place riders into the best compatible groups and time slots.

⚠️ If you are planning to ride with us this fall, PLEASE fill this out as soon as possible! Pre-registering gives you placement preference before the official booking links are sent out.

This is a BIG week for the Cooper crew, and we want to see our friends, family, customers and familiar faces IN THE STANDS!! 📣❤️

A little PSA… because I think it needs to be said.

Over the last week, I’ve received more rude messages, angry voicemails, and repeated phone calls than I care to count. So I’d like to have an honest conversation.

Yes, I’m a business owner.

But before that, I’m a mom.

I’m a wife.

I’m a daughter.

I’m a farmer.

I’m a housekeeper.

I’m an employer.

I’m an employer.

I’m a human.

I’m the person doing the paperwork, the hiring, the marketing, the bookkeeping, the horse chores, the maintenance, and yes… answering the phone.

I wear a lot of hats.

If you call me 32 times on a Sunday while I’m spending time with my family, I’m probably not going to call you back that day.

If you leave me a voicemail full of profanity telling me I’m a terrible business owner because I didn’t answer your first call, I definitely won’t be calling you back.

If you call repeatedly at 1:00 am and continue texting, don’t be surprised if I happen to return the favour when my day starts at 5:00 a.m. (Although I’d rather neither of us do that.)

Here’s the reality…

I am not sitting behind a desk waiting for the phone to ring.

Most days I’m outside fixing fences, feeding horses, mowing grass, repairing equipment, , scooping ice cream, giving trail rides, coaching my kids, or simply trying to eat supper with my family.

Sometimes my phone dies.

Sometimes I’m on a horse.

Sometimes I’m at the vets.

Sometimes I’m at dance.

Sometimes I’m sleeping.

Sometimes I’m unloading a truck.

Sometimes I’m with customers.

Sometimes I’m just being a mom.

Sometimes I’m doing 100 other things.

Sometimes I’m on the phone talking to my best friends I haven’t taken to in weeks because my phone never stops ringing!

Every call and message is important to me, and I truly do my best to respond as quickly as I can. But “as quickly as I can” isn’t always immediately.

A little patience and kindness go a long way.

Behind every small business is a real person doing their absolute best.

Please remember that before assuming the worst because someone didn’t answer the phone on the first ring.

Thanks to the many wonderful people who are patient, understanding, and supportive. You make the hard days a whole lot easier. ❤️
