Since 1991 I have involved in the outdoor experiential education, camp, adventure travel, leadership training and expeditions. For 20 years, I have been leading Fireside amongst other things. Why? Because I truly understand the short and long term values and impacts it has on generations. Many years ago I decided to abandon the “be the author of your own story” concept and took on BE THE IMPACTFUL AND UNIQUE CHARACTER IN 1000 OTHER PEOPLES STORIES. I love my career and feel blessed but more importantly I love the people I work with and absolutely appreciate all the kids and youth I was able to connect with.

And now it comes to an end. I am speechless, proud and grateful for everyone involved behind the huge success of World Bound Amazon to Yukon Course. It was epic and transformative. This was my favorite pictures of the youth and I paddling at 3:15am as we came closer to Dawson City - the end of the experience. Why paddle at 3:15am because it is the that thin line of when the north is sunsetting and sun rising at the same time. It’s one of those changing moments I love to share with youth.

It’s official - World Bound Amazon to Yukon has officially said good bye to Ecuador and now making our way to Yukon as we learn first hand impacts of climate change on culture, lands, people, nature and life as we know it. This is the first time a group of youth and young adults have visited two distinct areas or continents within 28 days through the lens of outdoor adventure, leadership and experiential learning at this level.
