The Parks Canada Guardians program is active at York Factory National Historic Site!

Land Guardians from York Factory First Nation and Fox Lake Cree Nation have been busy performing restoration work at the site’s cemetery.

Summer goes by fast when you spend it with good people on the water!

📸: On the trip shown we have the Wild Loon Adventure Company canoes loaded up on top of our speed boat and taking them back to Gillam MB. They paddled right up to York Factory (YF) National Historic Sites (where the Hayes River meets the Hudson Bay) and they definitely had some stories to tell!

🌊 Nelson River Adventures provides overnight boat tours to YF, canoe & kayak pickups for those that paddle for weeks or months, and charter boat service’s for environmental studies, First Nations gatherings and historical data collection. We operate late June to Early September and release our seasonal tour dates in December. Nelson River Adventures Inc.
