Remember Expedition Alpine ? She is a solo-kayaker paddling north to York Factory this summer and after nearly 2.5 months of paddling and weather-related delays (multiple tornado watches/warnings, continued thunderstorms, high winds, humid heat, etc), she has made it to Gimli Manitoba!

The weather throughout her journey has been a struggle, Madison Williams says, including seven tornado watches – one of which escalated into a warning – “tons” of thunderstorms, a week of excessive heat and high winds.

Wondering if one of these little canoes will make it to York Factory? 🤔

Looks like a very cool school project and if you open up the link in the post by RLCC Elementary , you can see a map of all the locations these tiny canoes have been located so far!
