This year's Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival will be virtual. Good news for all our friends around the world and specially all the Deluxe-burgers (ok Luxembourgers) who will be happy to spread the enjoyment over 9 days (instead of one evening).
It is basically about "everything that is fun in the mountains", anything adventure, from biking to paddling to skiing to discovering on foot ... etc plus mountain culture. There will be at least 33 films or events to enjoy from the comfort of your home.

This has been my last trip with guests as owner of the Blue Mountain Lodge. We had to find our way bushwhacking to the foot of Eiffel Peak where as a highlight we did some amazing sliding. Good times.

After ten and a half years, we are excited to announce that the Blue Mountain Lodge has new owners. On this FB page, Pascal will continue to show friends and mountain aficionados all the fun stuff that the backcountry has to offer, like hiking, scrambling or skiing. We climb this (ski) uptrack through the woods and our group of 5 is spread out over 100 meters. WHAT ARE THE ODDS that a tree breaks and crashes in between Midori and Mario? Highly improbable .. but it happened on this trip.
Later on this day we were "cliffed-out" and had to downclimb. Many moons ago (without mortgages and other responsibilities dangling over our heads like swords of Damocles) we would have "jumped the (snow) pillows", but see for yourself ...
