Terrence and I are both pretty sensitive creatures. While we laugh a lot, we don’t take things lightly.
There’s a depth to how we experience the world, and sometimes that weight settles in our bodies—mine often lands right in the middle of my back.
I’ve been doing seaweed baths for a few years now, soaking in both Laminaria digitata and Bladderwrack. Over time, I’ve come to know the difference—Laminaria feels deeply hydrating and comforting, while Bladderwrack feels more invigorating and clarifying. Together, they offer something truly special—like nature’s way of saying: soften, restore, begin again.
This morning, I really needed that. The heaviness I’m carrying has been growing over the past few days. We’re working through how to reshape this business—how to reflect where we are now, which is so different from where we were 16 years ago when we moved here with a six-month-old baby and big dreams.
We were younger then, full of possibility. The world has shifted since. And like so many others, We’re trying to find our place in it again—within the changes, the grief, the hope, and the pull toward something new.
Soaking in seaweed doesn’t erase the weight, but it helps loosen it. It gives us space to breathe, reflect, and begin the work of imagining again. That’s what this ritual has become for me: not just skincare, but soul care.
If you’re feeling that need too, the sea is here.
And so are we.
