Happy Friday Folks! Today is our last day open for the 2021 season, we hope to see you again or maybe even for the first time in 2022. We will be reopening in the spring of 2022. We currently have two more events planned for this fall. We will have an event on September 30th for Truth & Reconciliation Day, as well on October 30th we will have a Haunted Night at the Museum with a movie showing.
If you want to order one of our many books we have for sale while we are closed for the winter season, or if you would like some geology research done, requests can be made on our website ( https://www.guysboroughhistoricalsociety.ca/ ). Our phone number and email, as well as our board members contact info can also be found on our website.
We can’t wait to see you again!

She’s back! The ferry service to Grassy Island is fully operational. Stop by our visitor center to discover how a tiny series of islands off the mainland played a significant part in France and Britain’s 18th century conflict over modern-day Nova Scotia. Then take the ferry over to Grassy Island and see what’s left of a small but incredibly productive 18th century fishing port.
