Ambling through Haliburton today, stopped for lunch at Poquito Loco. They used to be at another location but have moved into The Castle Antique Store. Fabulous new surroundings for them, and let me tell you, absolutely scrumptious food. We both had the Mexican Rice bowls, size small, and they were huge, overflowing with fresh deliciousness. I meant to take a photo of the food, but we were so enthusiastic to dig in, I forgot.

If you are in Haliburton, highly recommend, lovely atmosphere and excellent food, and you can do a little antique browsing while you wait.

Also picked up an ad for the Artisan Festival In July, wonderful event not to be missed.

If there is one outing you have to make whilst visiting Innisfree, Little Tart Bakery should be right at the top of your list. You can cycle there from the Haliburton trail off Gelert Road, beautiful, flat, through forests and marshlands, or drive. Just get there.

When visiting Innisfree, if you feel like a drive, the Glamorgan Road to Haliburton is a beautiful route to take, about 20 minutes. Brouse the shops, have a bite to eat, and don't leave without visiting one of the best book stores ever. We never go to Haliburton without stopping in. https://mastersbookstore.ca/?q=h
