From vineyard to w**e glass, every bottle of w**e begins with carefully grown grapes. After harvest, the grapes are pressed, fermented as yeast transforms natural sugars into alcohol, then aged and bottled before they're ready to enjoy.

One of our favorite stops is Benjamin Bridge. 🍷 Every visit is a reminder of why we keep coming back. Beautiful views, incredible w**es, and always something new to notice. If you look closely, you'll spot the giant concrete eggs in the background. They're not just for show; these unique fermentation vessels help ferment and age the w**e, creating texture, complexity, and character in every bottle. Gary Vermeir started his career as an actor and writer with numerous theatre companies in Atlantic Canada. Next, he served for several years as the Maritime Canada Business Agent for ACTRA, the performers’ union and later in the same capacity for IATSE, the film technicians’ union. He and his wife wrote numerous episodes of children’s television. For many years, Gary offered historic walking tours of Halifax. Local history is one of his great loves. He brings these stories to his tours for Grape Escapes! 🍇
