A fall Kayak Ontario tradition: the annual fleet sale. This year we have more good demo boats than ever, plus Valley, Rockpool and a few other brands in new and used. Fleet drysuits and paddles are up too.

Used and fleet stock is limited. When it's gone, it's gone.

Wrapping up our Surf Mission Montreal! We had a super-keen group who battled some pretty strong winds while we played in the current for three days. What a week!

Pool sessions are back in Hamilton. Thursday nights from Nov 5 to Mar 25, in warm water, with two coaches in the pool and a maximum of four paddlers.

You pick what to work on: rolling, bracing, rescues, or just getting comfortable upside down. Boat, paddle and PFD are provided. I need to load gear in the cold!

Learn to roll your sea kayak in a warm pool over the winter.

Our first Level 1 filled, so we've added a second cohort, May 22 to 26. Basic Instructor is filling fast.

Next May and September we're running just about every instructor certification you can earn in Ontario, on the Saugeen Peninsula.

The class of 2026. Big water Gathering, Day 3. 20 paddlers exploring Fathom 5 and Flowerpot Island. Amazing weather and post-paddle tacos 🌮!

We just wrapped up our trips to the Fox Islands off the shores of Killarney Provincial Park.

The Killarney Coastal Islands Instructional Tour explored and journeyed: quartzite ridges dropping straight into the water, granite islands as slippery as water slides for lunch stops 😅 and channels opening and closing as we worked through the archipelago.

The Fox Island Level 2 camped the whole week and came away with two certifications: Paddle Canada Sea Kayak Level 2 and ORCKA Coastal Kayaking Level 1. Conditions were variable, which is the polite way of saying they got a bit of everything. That is the best thing that can happen on a Level 2.

Congratulations to everyone who paddled, camped, and made the trip memorable.

Next up: the Big Water Gathering, September 3 to 6 on the Saugeen Peninsula. Sixteen paddlers max, camping included. We may even still have a spot if you check the website.
