♦♦$1,000 cruises and $10,000 cruises.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
I often say "standard class cruises" here.
What are these lines?
What other classes are there?
Even though ships belonging to the same company can be very different from each other, the service levels in each class vary.
Class 👌 "Standard"
These include: MSC, Costa, Norwegian, Carnival and the like.
Characteristics:
✅️large passenger capacity of ships (from 2,000 to 6,500 passengers)
✅️small cabins
✅️focus on family holidays (children on some of them travel at the children's rate; availability of children's clubs, playgrounds and swimming pools)
✅️relatively low price of cruises (on average from $900/2 for 7 nights)
✅️typical ports of call,
companies' desire to minimize costs.
~~~~~
Class 🥂 "Premium"
Here I would mention: Princess, Cunard, Holland America, Azamara, Oceania.
Moreover, the latter 2 are more likely to belong to the Upper Premium segment. Characteristic features of this Standard class group: 👇👇
✅️ smaller liner occupancy (with similar dimensions),
✅️more service people per passenger
✅️better nutrition,
✅️availability of treats
✅️service level 6 stars out of 5.
✅️availability of conditions for family holidays, which is more targeted at adult passengers
✅️averagely longer cruises with non-circular routes (the departure port is different from the final port), which can be combined into several cruises.
✅️ a strategy aimed at maintaining a certain level of quality, not minimizing costs
the cost of cabins starts from $1,500/2 for 7 nights
~
Class 🤩 "Luxury"
These include: Silversea, Crystal Cruises, Regent, Seabourn.
Characteristic features of luxury cruise companies:
✅️small ship sizes (up to 1,500 passengers)
✅️large cabins, sometimes all apartments with
exquisite cuisine.
✅️lack of family orientation
✅️exclusive personalized service of 10 out of 5 stars😊
✅️focus on the highest level of quality
✅️high cost of cruises (~$4,000/2 for 7 nights) exotic routes.
Bonus 😎 "Specially" info from me 👇👇
Here I will mention lines such as Virgin Voyagers and Disney Cruises.
✅️guests only adults 🔞
✅️tips are included in the cabin price
✅️Internet included
✅️ALL meals on board are included
✅️soft drinks package included in the price.
✅️ group sports included in the price
✅️all ships new from 2020 and younger
✅️cost of cabins from ~$2,300/2 for 7 nights
And when it comes to Disney Cruises - on the contrary, it is a cruise line mainly for children.
With princesses, Mickey Mouse and other characters from childhood fairy tales.
Yes, Disney has its own cruise line.
Before the pandemic, I saw prices around $2,300-2,500 for a 2+1 family for 7-9 nights.
In 2023, they plan to return to Europe and the Caribbean.
So we wait 👀
I hope it was interesting and helped someone decide about their preferences 👍😊🏝⛴️🏝
Best regards and respect for your travel dreams 👍😊🏝🏝⛴️🏝🏝
