My dear friend and I were chatting yesterday and I couldn't figure out why my donations/support had not done well this year. My friend said 'maybe people don't believe that you're dry.' My reply was 'well then they don't know me!'
Everybody and their dog knows I like my cocktails and my shots(Gin/tequila/Sambuca...). But I'm going to say I have a 85% success rate in life that if I say I'm going to do something, I do it. My mom died of cancer, my Grandma had cancer
A good friend has been suffering with cancer, the last couple of years. A grade school/family friend is now fighting cancer, and a wonderful young man who I know and often hang out with just lost his mother to cancer this week.
So when I said (2 years in a row now) I'm going dry, I freaking went dry. I know times are hard for everyone but if you had a drink of alcohol this past month, anywhere, then you should be able to throw a $1 towards this cancer fight. So eventually none of us lose more people in the future. It's not just for research it is also to improve cancer patients help people in other ways

Hey there,

I’ve flown past the halfway mark of my Dry Feb challenge and am now on the homestretch! I’m Dry this month to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) to help make life better for people facing cancer.

I'm hoping to keep fundraising this week since I'm over two weeks alcohol-free for this challenge (with two more to go!).

Did you know that every 3 minutes, someone in Canada is diagnosed with cancer?

The funds I’m raising through my Dry Feb challenge will help people living with cancer right now, by fuelling Canada’s most-promising cancer research to transform the future of cancer, and by powering CCS’s national support system.
