We are proud to announce McMaster University’s crew ‘Vie Division’.
‘Vie’ means to strive towards a goal. As dancers, we all have one main goal – to become stronger dancers. And in order to become stronger dancers, we must all have individual goals – whether it be to improve at a style of dance, learn how to choreograph, become more adaptable to other dancers’ styles, gain performance or competit
ion experience, etc. We want to build a community through dance where we can give dancers of Hamilton the opportunities they need to reach their individual goals and where we can together reach our common goal of becoming stronger dancers. It is for this reason that we have chosen to call ourselves ‘Vie Division’. To start off, we will be hosting workshops – either biweekly or monthly that will be open to dancers of all levels within the Hamilton community. These classes will be open to all students at McMaster as well as any other dancers in Hamilton! We will also have a competitive team that will represent McMaster University at various competitions throughout the year. We will have auditions prior to every competition for McMaster dancers who are interested in competing. Vie Division represents a new beginning for dance in Hamilton. We are excited to start things off in the New Year, meet new faces, see new talent and watch our family grow!!!
