It is a sweet way to travel our little corner of the world!

Did we just drive from Fredericton just to get a piece of fudge from ? 🤫 I’ll never tell…

But this isn’t your average fudge.

Cobbler’s Lane is a family-run gem in Sussex, New Brunswick—and every bite is worth the trip. Got a favourite flavour?

And here’s something sweet you might not know: is also part of the Barn Quilt Tour—a colourful, winding journey through Kings County. Follow rural roads and discover 23 hand-painted quilt blocks on barns, churches, wineries, markets, artisan shops, and historic sites.

Each vibrant square tells a story—honouring local heritage and the spirit of craftsmanship that stitches this region together. A patchwork path through generations of tradition.

The Quilt Barn Tour are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Susan Rourke. Sue and her husband Brent of Brent Rourke Cabinetmaker & The Barn in Bloomfield were founders of the Quilt Barn Tour in this community.

Her enthusiasm and public spirit helped bring the project to fruition - just one of the many ways that Sue supported and celebrated local artisans and the rural community she loved so passionately. Our deepest condolences to her family and to the many friends who had the privilege to know her.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Elaine Rourke. Born in Saint John on November 13th, 1963 to Leo and the late Audrey (Clark) Collings. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Brent, sons Thomas and his wife Colleen, Isla Elaine (named after Susan) and Alden...
