This morning I was at Irving Nature Park where I took a group from a cruise ship for a guided nature hike. It's a contract I have with Aquila Tours. After the guided hike I took some time staked out and viewing the shorebirds as high tide came in; Dunlin, Hudsonian Godwit, Baird's Sandpiper and a immature Semipalmated Sandpiper.

The Shorebird Education and Counting Project contract of 8 weeks is coming to a close, I have 9 more days in the field and then some report writing. Most of the shorebirds have flown south, there is only a small number left, hopefully some rare species show up in the next couple of days.
