ESCAPE TO NATURE πŸ₯ΎπŸŒΏ

From easiest to most difficult, here is our top 5 list to save for your next hiking getaway.

πŸ“ Spirit Trail (30 minutes) πŸ‘£
Find whimsical clay masks created by local artist, Earnie Eaves, hanging along this flat 1-km walk. You can make your hike longer by continuing on to Bridle Trail.

πŸ“ Hicks Lake Loop (2 hours) πŸ‘£πŸ‘£
Explore this peaceful forest loop that wraps around the lake with shoreline views and wooden bridges. About halfway around is an idyllic little beach to stop for a break.

πŸ“ Sandy Cove and Whippoorwill Point (1.5 hours) πŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ‘£
After a short climb, you’re rewarded with a secluded beach tucked along Harrison Lake. A beautiful hike for most hikers, but can be challenging for younger children.

πŸ“ Bear Mountain (6-7 hours) πŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ‘£
This trek is a challenging one, winding through old forest roads, switchbacks, and rugged terrain but at the top comes the reward. You will be greeted with sweeping views of the Cheam Mountains, the Fraser Valley, the Fraser River and, of course, Harrison Lake and Harrison River. This is a fantastic photo opportunity.

πŸ“ Campbell Lake/Harrison Grind (6 hours) πŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ‘£πŸ‘£
This grind brings a steep backcountry hike through varied terrain with creek beds, rocky sections, forest bridges, and open viewpoints. Eventually, you will reach a moss-covered log bridge and another strenuous climb before you come out to a flat area known as the old helicopter landing pad. This is the spot where all your efforts are rewarded! You’ll be met with dazzling views of Harrison Lake and the stunning rivers and mountain ranges that surround it. You can carry on for a few more kilomentres to see Campbell Lake.
