WE ARE HIRING!
CONTENT CREATOR + SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST

About the Role
This isn’t your average desk job. We’re looking for a bold, creative storyteller who’s ready to hit the road and bring our region to life - on camera, online, and in the hearts of travelers.
You’ll be the digital voice of our destination, creating content that’s fresh, fun, and trend-forward while managing and growing our social media presence. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager, who is driven, talented, and passionate, and we’re looking for someone who brings that same energy and focus.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Create high-impact content (video, photo, reels, stories, blogs) for local businesses, tourism experiences, itineraries, and events
• Travel regularly throughout the Hope, Cascades, and Canyon region to capture authentic moments and hidden gems (Bridal Falls – Hope – Boston Bar – Manning Park) including weekends
• Organize content in SnapSea and share it with stakeholders
• Be the face of the brand - host videos, appear in stories, and engage with audiences
• Manage and grow social media accounts across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
• Develop and execute social media campaigns that drive engagement and tourism
• Build and maintain monthly and annual content calendars
• Schedule and optimize posts using tools like Hey Orca
• Track performance and create monthly analytics reports with actionable insights
• Engage with followers - respond to comments, DMs, reshare content, and build community
• Collaborate with local businesses to spotlight their stories and services
• Stay ahead of trends in social media, tourism, and digital storytelling
• Experiment with new formats like live streams, polls, challenges, and interactive content
• Capture behind-the-scenes moments that showcase the personality of the role
• Attend local events and festivals to create real-time coverage and buzz
• Build strong relationships with local businesses and partners
• Working with influencers and content creators

Who You Are
• Tech-savvy and fluent in the language of social media
• Confident, outgoing, and comfortable in front of the camera
• Obsessed with trends, aesthetics, and storytelling
• Skilled in photography, videography (Nikon mirrorless), and editing (mobile or desktop tools)
• Organized, self-motivated, and strong in time management
• Passionate about supporting local businesses and exploring the outdoors
• Able to work independently while staying connected with the team
• Have at least 2 years of experience in content creation and social media management, with a portfolio that demonstrates your creativity, storytelling, and results
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle for regular travel throughout the region

Bonus Skills
• Graphic design (Canva, Adobe Suite)
• Experience with influencer collaborations or UGC campaigns
• Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing basics

How to Apply
To apply, please send us:
• Your resume
• A cover letter that includes the word “salmon” somewhere in the text - yes, really. It can be a story, a metaphor, a pun, or just a random shoutout
• A short reel & carousel post showcasing how you would promote this region - creativity and sense of humor matter
• Your portfolio - show us your work and make us want to keep scrolling

APPLY AT: [email protected]

Only selected applicants will be contacted. But if you make us laugh, you’re already halfway there.

The Nahatlatch River is one of the Fraser Canyon’s most striking rivers, known for its turquoise water and strong whitewater.

It flows through remote mountain country before joining the Fraser River near Boston Bar, a small community surrounded by steep canyon walls and big river landscapes.

Warm weather is on the horizon, and now is the time to start planning that Fraser Canyon weekend getaway with the kids.

Take the family to , ride the airtram into the canyon walls, walk the suspension bridge above the Fraser River, and turn a simple weekend into a full Canadian experience.

Close enough for a quick getaway, wild enough to feel like an adventure.

Driving through the Fraser Canyon isn’t just a quick stretch of highway…

Start with the quiet calm of Lake of the Woods just outside Hope, where the water sits still and the mountains feel close enough to touch. A little further along, the landscape begins to whisper stories from the early trade routes connected to the Hudson’s Bay Company.

Then the road pulls you toward the dramatic canyon walls and the historic Alexandra Bridge, where rushing water and gold rush history meet far below your feet. Keep winding north and you’ll find the peaceful escape of Blue Lake Resort. It's the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer than planned.

This drive isn’t about getting somewhere fast
It’s about all the little stops that end up being the best part of the trip 🚗🏔️

BC has a hidden treasure in the Fraser Canyon...

Alexandra Bridge is tucked between steep canyon walls, stretching high above the rushing Fraser River. After a short 10 minute walk, you're standing out over the water with views that make you feel very small in the best possible way.

The sound of the river, the height of the cliffs, the history in the structure, it's one of those quick roadside stops that turns into a moment you don't forget.

Road trips through BC always have surprises... this is one of the best ones.

This winter shot captures the Old Suspension Bridge, spanning the mighty Fraser River—once crossed during the wagon train days as people made their way through the canyon. Framed by rugged mountains and fresh snowfall, it’s a powerful reminder of both the region’s history and the quiet beauty of the season. ❄️🌁🎄
