Inglis Area Heritage Committee - Inglis Elevators Relive the Golden Age of the Five Prairie Giants - Inglis Grain Elevators National HIstoric Site

The Inglis Experience:

- Explore five, original, slope-shouldered wooden grain elevators built in the golden age of Canada's grain trade

- Explore at your own pace with a self guided walking tour

- Learn more with videos, pictures, signs, displays and artifacts

- Get up close and personal with an interpretive tour - great for schools or other groups! Knowledgeable and friendly volunteers are

on hand to greet you, to answer your questions and explain the function and form of the Inglis Grain Elevators. Volunteers have contributed thousands of hours to the restoration project, and will spend thousands more over the next few years as they carry on with the work.

Some much needed restoration happening this summer! Thanks to donations and fundraising efforts, painting the elevators is finally happening. These historic buildings need regular maintenance and upkeep, but some hail damage a couple years ago hastened the need!!

That’s Steve Schlachter up there, who has taken on the task of painting at those heights! Thanks Steve!!

On behalf of the combined efforts of the Inglis Area Heritage Commitee, Inglis District Community Club, Friendlys Grocery Coop and the Inglis Fire Department we would like to thank the numerous members of the Inglis community for all the efforts involved in making the 2025 Canada Day Celebrations a huge success! It’s been a great start to the summer season with several groups and individuals visiting us for our informative interactive tours!

Until June 28th, spring hours continue, only open on weekends!
